Accent Coach

Whatever the accent or role you’ve been gifted with, I’m here to give you the confidence to play in it. My work balances technique with empowerment to make the accent your own, leaving you to get out of your head, and into the moment.

Whether it’s prepping for an upcoming audition, brushing up on skills in between jobs or sustaining an accent in performance over time, I’ve got your back.

We all have our own learning styles, and my adaptable approach as a coach means I am able to quickly tailor each session to the individual and your needs.

I work with people of all ages & experience levels.

Giving you the tools to focus on the part, not the accent

  • "I had a great American accent session with Beth. I was so impressed by how much thought and preparation had gone into the class, from the tongue placement diagrams, to the way different sounds and groups of words were broken down, to using videos of celebrities and analysing how they speak. It made everything really easy to understand and apply. She created such a supportive, relaxed atmosphere, and we had great energy throughout. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to develop their voice or accent work."

  • "I reached out to Beth for help with my first audiobook that contains LOADS of accents. And couldn’t have picked a better person! Working with Beth has been an utter delight. She is calming, joyous and so knowledgeable! She’s found easy ways for me to access a multitude of accents in a short space of time that are so specific to me. I now have Yorkshire, Swansea and Geordie under my belt! She goes into incredible detail about the geography, the kit list, and dialects of each one, and yet makes it all so easily digestible. It has been such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend her to everyone looking to nail accents, and anyone looking for audio work. I have loved working with her and now feel super confident to walk into the studio and nail it."

  • "Beth is both a brilliant actor and voice coach. I have worked with Beth on ‘The Welkin’ at Rose Bruford, where she not only led British students in learning a West Country accent, but also introduced the accent to American students for the first time. Beth also provided vocal coaching to my recent production of ‘BIOSPHERE’ at Royal & Derngate, where her insights ensured vocal support and safety for the actors during an intense show. I highly recommend her expertise for any forthcoming productions!"

  • “Beth was warm and put me at ease immediately; there was no feeling of embarrassment at where you may be starting from with an accent, and she just constantly encourages you to try. Not only does she clearly put a lot of effort beforehand into gathering useful references, examples, and the anatomical/technical placement of an accent, but she will also impressively demonstrate the accent from start to finish of the call. I didn't get that job but I came close and I know I would have stood no chance without Beth's help. I will absolutely be booking more time with her whenever I need to learn a new accent or to hone one I already feel pretty good at.”

    Hollie Sullivan

The Mousetrap (West End), Waking the Dead (BBC)

  • “I’m so glad I had a session with Beth to help me with a tricky accent for an audition. She was incredibly well-researched, made me feel completely comfortable trying unfamiliar sounds, and prepared excellent resources for me to then work on independently. I went in feeling confident and prepared and will definitely work with her again”

  • "Working with Beth as a Vocal Coach was an absolute dream. She was calm, patient and really took the time to figure out how best to help me with my accents for a show without overwhelming me. Beth is such a positive asset to any team she joins and I would not hesitate to give my recommendation in hiring her as a vocal coach."

    Natasha Vasandani

  • "I recently had a one-to-one with Beth for a St. Louis accent for a last minute audition, and I was surprised by the level of preparation, detail and specificity Beth put into her research before the session had even taken place. The coaching was friendly and encouraging throughout, and while it was just one session, I came away with a solid foundation to keep building on. I look forward to coming back to Beth for more help with accents in the future. Highly recommend!"
